UAE signs air services accord with Uruguay

Dubai, May 3 (IANS/WAM) The United Arab Emirates has signed an “open skies” air services agreement with Uruguay.

Represented by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), the UAE signed the “open skies” air services Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and also an Air Services Agreement (ASA) with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Uruguay in the capital city Montevideo.

The agreement, signed by Saif Mohamed Al Suwaidi, director general of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), and Jorge Alvarez, director general of Civil Aviation of Uruguay, allows full flexibility on the routes, capacity, number of frequencies and types of aircraft, in any type of service (passenger or cargo).

Both sides also agreed to allow unrestricted non-scheduled operations between the two countries.
