UAE charity distributes food in Palestine
August 6th, 2011 - 1:06 am ICT by IANSRamallah, Aug 5 (IANS/WAM) A UAE charity has distributed thousands of food parcels to needy Palestinians living in relief camps here.
The food was distributed Thursday in 19 relief camps by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Humanitarian Foundation.
Eileen Qasisiya, director of the information office of the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) for Palestine refugees in West Bank, said the first phase of the foundation’s project has been implemented and other three phases will follow.
The distribution of the food parcels will continue throughout the holy month of Ramadan, which started Aug 1.
