Two-day stir for separate Vidarbha state begins

Nagpur, Jan 3 (IANS) Several political groups and social organisations Sunday started a two-day sit-in agitation here to press the demand for a separate Vidarbha state.
The initiative has been taken by Congress MP Vilas Muttemwar who led around 2000 people at the peaceful sit-in (dharna) before a statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Variety Square in the heart of the city.
The agitators have demanded that along with the recently-approved proposal for a Telangana state, the central government should also “favourably” consider the 50-year-old demand for a separate Vidarbha state.
This, they said, would save the region - worst-hit by a spate of farmland suicides in the past decade - from “dying”.
Among the prominent groups which have joined the two-day stir is Vidarbha Jan Andolan Samiti (VJAS) which appealed to all political parties to support the demand for a separate state.
“Congress president Sonia Gandhi should consider the apathy shown to the people of this region in the past 50 years, which now has slid to among the most backward regions in the country though it falls in the most advanced state of India,” VJAS chief Kishor Tiwari said.
In a letter to the Congress president last week, Muttemwar said that even the erstwhile British rulers recommended a separate Vidarbha way back in 1888, followed by the State Reorganisation Commission of 1955, and then prime minister Rajiv Gandhi in 1988.
In 1996, a delegation of senior leaders like Ahmed Patel, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Meira Kumar, K. Karunakaran, Rajesh Pilot, Balram Jakhar, Mukul Wasnik, Vasant Sathe, N.K.P. Salve, Sudhakarrao Naik and Muttemwar had met the then Prime Minister H. D. Deve Gowda demanding the formation of a separate Vidarbha as envisaged by the States Reorganisation Commission.
Tiwari said that more people are expected to join the stir on its second day Monday) and the voice of the people demanding a separate Vidarbha “would echo till the national capital”.

we need vidarbha seperate, but not for only vidarbha politician, because every vidarbha politician thinking if vidarbha sepereated then they will get their own charge and own supremo position to lead vidarbha people (for to open colleges, school, hospitals, and earn lot of money due to this businees. this is the main aim of vidarbha politician.
previous time vidarbha minister have each and every power for to develope vidarbha with industries, infrastructure, and it zone, but whatever fund getting form maharashtra goverment that all funds this minister keep in their own account and purchase big lands property for thier future business and presently also the same thing going on.
west maharshtra minister also diong same thing but atleast they developing their own zone, area, and their cities, with industries, infrastructure ,IT zones to get employment easily to west maharashtra people without struggle, sacrifice, thats why west (mh) people enjoying happily family life with good encome from salary, even farmers also earning good income from their production, because of getting good subcidies with easy efforts.
west (mh) people dont need to do struggle for job, businees farming, development, because of their active ministers, but this thing is not seen in our east minister, evevrybody trying to hide money from govt. funds. and if they are capable to do all this dvelopment in vidarbha then what they did in last 20 yrs.
See the pune(closest areas), nashik, aurangabad, baramati,before 20 yrs this this places are look like village and nagpur was a wise capital of mharashtra and on the city level position, but now all this villeages are cities with good full fill of industries, business, infrastructure, and pune full fill with IT ZONES, industries, corporate offices, BUT nagpur was look like village, because of not avalabillity of industries ,infrastructures, IT zones, corporate offices, thier is only one PARLIMENT for entertaining the west ministers and one ASIA no 2nd biggest MIDC for show off and to keep maintain dignity of nagpur, that is the nagpur is a wise capital of maharashtra (only for name, but actually it is a most third class city in maharashtra, where people not getting employement in thier own town and thta people which is connected to near b ynagpur zone)
SO question is that what vidarbha region people have to do for their zone development with industries,infrastructure, it zones, corporate offices and farming.
1) avoid to follow the currupted and selfish minister of vidrabha, dont listen their lectures because they are totally fool and not aware about our vidarbha development.
WE need our employmnet in our own town with godd packages like west maharashtra zone,because we are working at west maharashtra zone and proper from vidarbha region,so thats why we are paying rents to west maharashtra people for to get resedence and keeping away to ur parents from us, but in west (mh) people earnig same packages in thier own town withoutstayi away fron their parents and without paying any thing.
how much years we have to compromise with this situtaion and sacrifice with all happines.
UP to 24 yrs we staying with our parens and completed our education for what purpose only for to leave them for to earn money to survive and completed ous basic needs.think deeply on this point, that why vidarbha people have to compromise and sacrifice for thisemployment why not west mh people have to compromise with all this thing.
we are earnig at west mh zone and paying 1/4 to localite peole to stay their for jobs then what we ar earnig and saving.
good life is like to earn money form employement , help to our parents with sharing happy moment with them ( becaus ethey devotee every thing for us at our yonger time ) then why not we devotte our full time with their end time.
for all this things only west mh people are lucky not vidarbha people.
so its request you to all youngstars of vidarbha for getting safe, happy, good and lavish future like west mh zone,fight only for this points not for politician benefits. if we fight for only this ponits, then see how automatically development will statrt with industries, infrastructure, it zones in vidarbha region.
