Tripura assembly mourns YSR’s death
September 3rd, 2009 - 8:37 pm ICT by IANSAgartala, Sep 3 (IANS) Cutting across party lines, members of ruling Left Front and the opposition Congress in the Tripura assembly Thursday mourned the death of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
Responding to the proposal of Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and opposition leader Ratan Lal Nath, Speaker Ramendra Chandra Debnath briefly highlighted the life and work of YSR, as the chief minister was known.
Later, the house observed silence for two minutes as a mark of respect to YSR died along with four others when their helicopter crash in a forest in Andhra Pradesh Wednesday.
