Trinamool, SP, BSP leaders attend Sonia’s lunch

New Delhi, July 18 (IANS) In a UPA show of strength a day before the presidential poll, all its constituents, including the Trinamool Congress, marked their presence at a lunch held by alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi here Wednesday.
With Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee extending her support to the ruling United Progressive Alliance’s presidential candidate Pranab Mukherjee, party leaders K.D. Singh and Sukhendu Shekhar Roy were present at the lunch held at the Ashok hotel in the national capital.
Extending external support to the UPA are the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party, and their leaders were also present at the lunch. The two parties are backing Mukherjee in the poll.
