Trinamool playing with Muslim sentiments: Buddhadeb

Kolkata, May 11 (IANS) West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee Monday accused the opposition Trinamool Congress of playing with the sentiments of the Muslims to strengthen their vote bank in the state.
“We’ve been noticing that Trinamool Congress is mentioning the word ‘Muslim’ everywhere. If someone from the Muslim community has died in any incident, they’re describing it through his or her religious identity,” Bhattacharjee said at a press conference here.

“If someone has died, the incident itself is a sad affair. One shouldn’t mention which religion that person belonged to.

“Trinamool Congress is intentionally doing it. They’d started this trend since their birth (in 1998) to destabilise the law and order of the state.”
