Trinamool obstructing Bengal’s development: Buddhadeb
October 10th, 2010 - 9:47 pm ICT by IANSBurdwan (West Bengal), Oct 10 (IANS) West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee Sunday said the opposition Trinamool Congress is creating obstacles in the path of the state’s development but his party, the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M), would not let it succeed.
“Trinamool Congress is trying to create obstacles in each and every development work of the state. Wherever the state government is trying to take up a development work, they are creating obstacles. We will not tolerate this. The people of the state will not tolerate this,” he said, addressing a party rally in Andal area of this West Bengal district.
Noting Trinamool created obstacles in Singur and did not allow the car factory in the area, he said they had also created problems in Andal, Katwa area of this district also.
Bhattacharjee also slammed Trinamool for creating unrest in the state and having a nexus with Maoists.
“Trinamool is creating problems everywhere. They only believe in violence and unrest. They are having nexus with the Maoist and creating problems in the districts of Purulia, Bankura and West Midnapore. But the people have stand up against this and we will defeat them,” he said.
Maoists are active in three western districts of Bengal- Purulia, West Midnapore and Bankura.
