Three women in BJP’s second list for Uttarkhand polls

New Delhi, Jan 6 (IANS) There were three women in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) second list of 22 candidates for the Jan 30 Uttarakhand elections.
The list was finalised by the central election committee of the BJP that Friday met with president Nitin Gadkari in chair.
The first list of 48 candidates for the 70-member Uttarakhand assembly was announced Wednesday.
The three women candidates in the second were Asha Noutiyal, Kamla Chouhan and Renu Adhikari. Chouhan and Adhikari would be contesting assembly elections for the first time while Noutiyal is seeking reelection from Kedarnath.
