Texas Governor Perry appoints three new government members
March 17th, 2010 - 1:11 am ICT by BNO News ( Leave a comment )AUSTIN, TEXAS (BNO NEWS) – On Tuesday, Governor Rick Perry appointed three new members of his government, the Office of the Governor announced.
Bryan Tucker, the Childress city manager and owner of Jachin Construction, has been appointed as the Texas Department of Rural Affairs. The department supports community development, educational and leadership opportunities, and healthcare for Texas’ rural areas.
Governor Perry added two new members to the Texas Commission of Arts. Patricia Bryant, of Amarillo, was named the new chair of the Commission on Arts for a term to expire at the governor’s desire. Bryant is the owner of Patty A. Bryant Communications.
Dale Brock, of Wichita Falls, was appointed to the same commission; he is the North Texas regional senior manager of Citibank. His term is due to expire on august 31, 2013.
The Texas Commission of Arts encourage appreciation for fine arts and acts in an advisory capacity regarding the construction and remodeling of state building and artworks.
