Ted to be inhumed next to brothers

Aug 27 (IBNS) Senator Ted Kennedy would be laid to rest next to his brothers.

On Friday, a private memorial service for Late Ted Kennedy will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Basilica, in Boston.

This memorial service will be conducted a day before his funeral. According to Ted’s family, on Saturday Edward Kennedy would be consigned to grave at Arlington National Cemetery, in Boston beside his brothers.

According to a statement, at John Fitzgerald Kennedy presidential library in Boston, Edward Kennedy’s body will be lie for the public view for six hours, on Friday.

On Saturday, the burial service will begin 5:00 pm (2100 GMT) at the Arlington National Cemetery, near Washington.

The statement said: Senator Kennedy will be laid to rest next to President (John F.) Kennedy and Senator Robert Kennedy. The nation’s resting place for its heroes, Senator Kennedy spent more days than most at Arlington visiting the graves of his beloved brothers and paying tribute to the fallen men and women of Massachusetts who gave their lives for our country.

It added: While his daughter, Kara, was battling lung cancer at a nearby Boston hospital, Senator Kennedy attended Our Lady of Perpetual Hope each day and prayed for Kara and her recovery. Over time, the Basilica took on special meaning for him as a place of hope and optimism.

Edward ‘Ted’ Kennedy died on August 25, 2009, and he was 77 years old at the time of his death.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Basilica is also known as the Mission Church.
