Stones thrown at Nitish Kumar’s convoy
January 22nd, 2012 - 3:04 am ICT by IANSPatna, Jan 21 (IANS) A group of protesters pelted stones at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s car convoy in his home Nalanda district Saturday, injuring a doctor and an ambulance driver, officials said.
Nitish Kumar’s vehicle escaped unscathed in the attack in Nagarnausa in the district.
According to police, some people pelted stones at the chief minister’s convoy, damaging window panes of an ambulance and injuring two of its occupants.
The district police officials were reluctant to say anything more about the incident.
It is first such incident since Nitish Kumar became the chief minister over six years ago.
