South Korean President to visit UAE Saturday

Abu Dhabi, March 10 (IANS/WAM) South Korean President Lee Myung-bak will undertake a three-day State visit to the United Arab Emirates from Saturday.

President Lee, during his visit, will hold talks with UAE’s President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Both the leaders will dicuss ways to strengthen existing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

The visiting president, accompanied by a high-level delegation, will also hold meeting with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president, prime minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces apart from a number of senior officials in the state.

This is the second official visit of South Korean President. His first visit was in December 2009 during which a series of cooperation agreements between UAE and South Korea were signed.
