Sonia Gandhi to visit Rae Bareli for two days

Lucknow, Feb 2 (IANS) Congress president Sonia Gandhi will be on a two-day tour of her parliamentary constituency Rae Bareli from Thursday to evaluate several central government sponsored schemes and inaugurate a number of projects, a party official said here Wednesday.”On the first day, she will inaugurate a community centre in Lalganj and a guest house in Dalmau. She would also lay the foundation stone of a sports complex at the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya,” Uttar Pradesh Congress unit spokesperson Akhilesh Pratap Singh told reporters.
“On the second day, she will inaugurate a health camp organised by the union health ministry. She would also meet party workers and attend a programme at an institute offering technical and management education,” he added.
According to Singh, Gandhi would also check the ground realities of the implementation of central government sponsored welfare schemes in her constituency.
