The Siam Intelligence Unit (SIU) launches a website,, to provide detailed information about politicians to help people decide which Member of Parliament (MP) candidates they should support before casting their ballots tomorrow (December 23rd).

SIU Leader Charoenchai Chaipaiboonwong (เจริญชัย ไชยไพบูลย์วงศ์) discloses that people need to be well prepared before voting in the general election as the country’s ongoing crisis stems from a lack of political knowledge.

Mr. Chaorenchai says the website contains information about Thai politicians, influential people in politics, as well as political parties. It is considered as the first website in Thailand and in the Asian region which gives insights into the country’s politics.

Meanwhile, an academic from Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Economics Thani Chaiwat (ธานี ชัยวัฒน์) says all parties have almost the same policies and even their political ideologies are not different. He therefore suggests that the voters should study the history of each party which reflects its political stance better than the policy used during the general election.
