Shibu Soren elected JMM president for sixth time
September 22nd, 2010 - 7:14 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, Sep 22 (IANS) Former Jharkhand chief minister Shibu Soren was Wednesday unanimously elected president of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) for the sixth time.
He was elected president on the third and last day of the party conclave in Dumka. Soren, 64, is one of the founder members of the JMM and has been president of the party since 1986.
He first became Lok Sabha MP in 1980 when he was elected from Dumka. He has been chief minister thrice.
