Dec. 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Health Reform Bill, which has created a great controversy among the political leaders and common men of the United States has received majority votes in the House of Representatives. It has been a debated issue of the Senate for the last few weeks till the Senators finally voted for the bill. It appears that the approval of the much controversial bill in the Senate would affect the political careers of some reputed politicians. Senator Ben Nelson, known to be a Conservative Democrat has faced several criticisms for supporting the bill in the Senate.
According to the reports, Senator Ben Nelson’s vote played a decisive role in the approval of the bill. He had been against the bill from the initial stages and his sudden change of mind had drawn huge criticism from people. Many alleged that the Senator has sold his vote in order to get more federal aid for his state Nebraska.
Though there were allegations that Senator Ben Nelson would receive federal funds for voting the health care reform bill, people of Nebraska have never supported his decision. As per the reports of the survey, almost sixty-one percent of total voters in Nebraska indicated that they will not support Ben Nelson in the next election if he would support the bill in Senate. Never have been more ashamed of a state senator. I live in a neighboring state and feel the shame that Nebraska residents must be feeling today. They have an elected “official” who like other democrats has SOLD OUT to the american public. I don’t how he can face his family. What a disgrace!!!
