Security beefed up in Himachal
September 7th, 2011 - 10:49 pm ICT by IANSShimla, Sep 7 (IANS) Security was beefed up across Himachal Pradesh Wednesday after a bomb explosion outside the Delhi High Court killed 11 people.
Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal has directed the law enforcement agencies to intensify patrolling to prevent any untoward incident.
“The chief minister has directed the chief secretary, the director general of police and the deputy commissioners to intensify vigil at all sensitive areas besides vital establishments,” an official statement said here.
Director General of Police D.S. Manhas told IANS that security was intensified in areas along the state border with Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand.
