Number of woman candidates: 121

Number of polling staff: 1 million

Number of polling stations: 222,350

Major parties: Bharatiya Janata Party (112 candidates), Congress (116), Bahujan Samaj Party (122), Communist Party of India-Marxist (9), Nationalist Congress Party (22), Communist Party of India (16) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (15).
