Sarah Palin Rumors that former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her husband, Todd, are splitting up are being hotly denied as a website at the center of the controversy claims it is waiting clarification on some matters.

The Alaskan Report, an Alaskan news website, claims that following it’s earlier publication of a report that the Palins were to divorce it received a letter from the former governor’s lawyer, Thomas Van Flein, confirming some details but not addressing others.

Rumors that the couple were to divorce first started gaining momentum when a National Enquirer article claimed alleged affairs by both partners had led to a deterioration of their marriage and the stress from that is what led to Palin’s resignation as governor of Alaska last week.

The former governor, originally from Idaho, was reported to have recently purchased land in Montana and was said to be considering moving their with her five children – sons Track and Trig Paxson Van, and daughters Bristol Sheeran Marie, Willow, and Piper.

Husband of 21-years, Todd, last week told Fox News that he was heading back to his job in the oil fields of Alaska, despite Sarah recently signing a book deal reportedly worth $11 million.

The former governor and vice-presidential running mate of failed White House aspirant John McCain, failed to attend a Readan Library appearance during the week and her Twitter stream with 129,000 followers has been quiet for a week.

A denial was posted on the Facebook page by spokeswoman Meg Stapleton, who claimed, “there is no truth to the recent ’story’ (and story is the correct term for this type of fiction) that the Palins are divorcing. ”

“The Palins remain married, committed to each other and their family, and have not purchased land in Montana,” the Facebook post went on to say.
