Sarah Palin’s aide - Meghan Stapleton resigns

palin New York, Feb 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Top Sarah Palin aide – Meghan Stapleton has resigned. She was the ‘Going Rogue’ author’s senior adviser and spokeswoman. While resigning, she said that she wanted to spend more time with her family, and be more involved in her family’s responsibilities.

Meghan Stapleton said she resigned to spend more time with her husband and 2-year-old daughter, Isabella. “While it has been an honor to help Governor Palin and her family over the last few years, I am also honored to have this incredible opportunity to stay home with my precious miracle, Isabella. She is 2 years old, [and] I have missed significant moments in her life, but I look forward with great happiness to celebrating milestones as well as mundane moments with her as I refocus my priorities. I also look forward to seeing my saint of a husband again, too!”

Meghan Stapleton was a Sarah Palin confidante since December 2006, and was also a part of the governor’s most trusted aides. After her unsuccessful Vice Presidential campaign, Sarah Palin has maintained just a handful of her former team, and Meghan was a crucial part of it. She was a key strategic adviser for the former Alaskan Governor. Prior to being a Palin aide, Stapleton was the director of scheduling and advance for Republican National Committee Co-Chairwoman Jeanie Austin, an assistant for Malek at Thayer Capital Partners.
