Alaska, Feb 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) For the fourth time in as many years, former Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin, has turned down an invitation to the Annual Conservative Political Action Conference. The fact that she was given the honor to present the keynote address did not make her to accept the offer.

Palin gave the reason why she declined the offer in an email to the Fix on Thursday. She explained in the email that, “February is our busiest winter month and with all the prior obligations and outside travel already scheduled for the month I had to forgo some of the opportunities in the Lower 48.”

Despite the obvious snub for all the years, the CPAC still believes the former Vice Presidential candidate has nothing personal against the group. The group though expressed its disappointment that she couldn’t make the trip to the event because of “scheduling issue”.

The first snub happened in 2008 when Palin at the last hour announced that she will not be attending the event, after initially agreeing to. Another invitation in 2009 was accepted but again she pulled out on the last minute because of “duties of governing”.

The 2010 was the most obvious snub. Palin told clearly CPAC that she wouldn’t be honoring the invitation because of her differences with the Chairman of CPAC, David Keene.
