Sarah Palin & Tony Perkins distance themselves from RNC
April 2nd, 2010 - 2:51 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattWashington DC, Apr 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The ‘Going Rogue’ author Sarah Palin and the Family Research Council President Tony Perkins have decided to distance themselves from the Republican National Committee (RNC), after they came to know that RNC spent around $2000 at a topless and a bondage themed nightclub.
“This latest incident is another indication to me that the RNC is completely tone-deaf to the values and concerns of a large number of people from whom they seek financial support. I’ve hinted at this before, but now I am saying it–don’t give money to the RNC. If you want to put money into the political process, and I encourage you to do so, give directly to candidates who you know reflect your values,” said Tony Perkins.
The former Alaskan Governor has also distanced herself from the RNC, and she has also asked the RNC to immediately stop all adverts that claim that she would be a part of the RNC fundraiser, at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference. According to the fundraiser invitations that have already been distributed, it is written that Sarah Palin would be a part of the fundraiser along with Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
