Jan 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Former Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin thought it would be wise for her to withdraw her ‘target list’ from the Internet after complaints started shooting up against her regarding the recent Arizona shooting incident. The chief reason behind the grievances that has issued out against her is due to the critical condition of Gabrielle Giffords who was shot yesterday in a Congress meeting held at a grocery store in Tucson. However, the Democrat leader is not the only one who is battling with life. Several others have been injured in the shooting incident, while six lost their lives out.
Republican Sarah Palin had put up a ‘target map’ on her page of the popular networking site of Facebook in March 2010. The ‘target list’ featured the districts of the most targeted twenty Democrats. The graphic that the Alaskan politician chose for her ‘target map’ was the typical gunsight-style pattern. It indicated the crosshairs effect displaying the names of the tough Democratic rivals. The intention behind putting the ‘target map’ on the popular site was obvious. Through the ‘target list’ Sarah Palin wanted to convey her messages to the mass for bringing down the Democrats and instead vote in the favor of the Republicans bringing them back once again to the throne.
Sarah Palin had made the ‘target list’ after these politicians had supported US President Barack Obama’s health care policies. Gabrielle Giffords name was one of the twenty. The act of putting up of such a list on the Internet has been drawing in a number of criticisms ever since the shooting incident took place on Saturday. Sarah Palin who is not at all eager to invite any more controversies was seen removing the ‘target map’ soon after the incident.
