Los Angeles, Oct 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Harpo Productions has just announced that the talk show Queen Oprah Winfrey will interview former Alaska Gov. and VP candidate Sarah Palin on her television show on Nov. 16.
The interview, is aimed to promote Palin’s new memoir, “Going Rogue: An American Life.” It has been proved again and again that Oprah Winfrey show appearances give a big boost to book sales.
This is the first meeting between Winfrey and Palin. During the 2008 presidential campaign, Oprah Winfrey had publicly supported and campaigned for Barack Obama. Then Oprah Winfrey told reporters in straight terms that she was not interested in bringing Palin on as a guest until after the election was over.
“There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this Presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates,” Oprah said.
She had said, “I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over,” Winfrey said in a statement then.
According to reports, SarahPalin’s book ‘Going Rogue’ was No. 4 on Amazon.com’s bestseller list on Tuesday. It’s slated to be released on Nov. 17, just a day after Sarah Palin’s historical interview with Winfrey.

Oprah has no idea what she did last year during the election. I feel strongly that each person has a right to his or her own beliefs…but her audience loved her because she had always been impartial on her shows…getting only the truth. She offended and isolated many of her viewers in how she handled herself. Is this something she can romance her way back out of…with some…perhaps.
