Recently the rumors of a possible divorce between former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and her husband Todd had suddenly been making its way round the network. Well, all Sarah Palin well wishers, take the assurance from the fact that this rumor has been vehemently denied by a spokesperson from the Palin camp.

The spokeswoman, Meg Stapleton rubbished the INTERNET rumors by saying, “Yet again, some so- called journalists have decided to make up a story. There is no truth to the recent ’story’ (and story is the correct term for this type of fiction) that the Palins are divorcing.” This statement was posted on Saturday on Palin’s Facebook page. She dotted the statement b saying, “The Palin’s remain married [and] committed to each other and their family and have not purchased land i Montana (last week it was reported to be Long Island).”

It has only been a week that Palin has formally stepped down from the Governor of Alaska’s office, mid way through her term and Gov. Parnell has stepped in her shoes to serve as the Governor of the 49th state. Ever since then, Palin has been maintaining a relatively low profile. Her usual timely Twitter feed has not been updated for almost a week, with the last Tweet being, “Thank you Alaska! I love you. God bless Alaska. God bless the USA.”

The irony is, only a week ago, Palin had in her farewell speech taken pot shots at the media and asked them to “quit making things up.” Seems her words weren’t effective enough.
