London, June 14 (IANS) Sarah Brown, wife of former British prime minister Gordon Brown, is publishing her memoirs of life inside 10, Downing Street.
Publishers Ebury Press said it will tell her story about “what it is like to be a woman, wife and mother in somewhat exceptional circumstances”.
It will be a “very personal memoir⦠intimate, reflective, surprising and funny”, reports The Guardian.
With the book, Sarah will cross the world of blogging over to publishing. She is considered the most followed Briton on Twitter, having attracted over one million followers on the micro-blog, overtaking comedian and presenter Stephen Fry.
The news about her forthcoming book was first broken by her on Twitter: “Just agreed with my publisher to write a book - working title ‘Behind the Black Door’ - so chained to laptop from Monday morning.”
Memoirs from Labour leaders are expected to flood the market soon.
Tony Blair’s “The Journey” is out in September, Peter Mandelson is penning his “mixture of autobiography, personal reflection and political history”, while former spin doctor Alastair Campbell has updated his account of the explosive feuds at the top of the leadership.
