Kolkata, June 26 (IANS) Presidential candidate Purno A. Sangma Tuesday held talks with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee seeking the votes of her Trinamool Congress in his bid for the top post, but failed to extract any commitment, party officials said.
Though Sangma expressed “happiness” at the way the meeting went, Banerjee kept her support pending and informed Sangma that a decision would be taken after discussions in the party fold.
