New Delhi, July 8 (IANS) The Samajwadi Party Tuesday formally announced its support to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s government, soon after the Left ended its backing to the ruling United Progressive Alliance (UPA). “We welcome the nuclear deal and back Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s decision to go ahead to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for the next step in the deal,” Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav told reporters here.

“If there is a vote in parliament, we will support the prime minister and the nuclear deal,” he said.

Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh insisted that there was no division in the party.
