New Delhi, Aug 28 (IANS) The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Friday snubbed senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Arun Shourie for his suggestion that it take charge of the beleaguered party and pull it out of crisis.
“The Sangh has its own tasks that will be done by the Sangh. If the party wants help and advice, we will give it,” RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat told reporters here.
He added: “We don’t give any advice to the BJP without being asked for it.”
Targeting the BJP leadership, former cabinet minister Shourie earlier this week had said in a media interview that it was time the RSS took over the party and pulled it out of the crisis it was in.
