RJD releases first list for Jharkhand polls

- Patna, Nov 5 (IANS) The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), which is contesting the Jharkhand assembly polls along with the Left parties, released the first list of 26 candidates Thursday.
RJD chief Lalu Prasad, releasing the list of candidates, said: “We will release the second and third lists soon.”
He said the RJD was contesting the Jharkhand polls in alliance with secular parties to defeat communal forces.
The RJD is contesting the polls along with the Left parties after its attempt to align with the Congress and others failed.
Elections to the Jharkhand assembly would be held in five phases from Nov 27 to Dec 18.
