josephBoston, Mar 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Joseph F. Kennedy, the grandson of Robert F. Kennedy had reportedly decided to not seek election for the U.S House from Massachusetts this year. According to sources, the decision was taken by Joseph F. Kennedy as he wants to concentrate on gaining experience as the prosecutor in Cape Cod’s Barnstable County.

While confirming his decision to not run for the U.S. House in 2010, the 29 year old Harvard Law graduate revealed to a news source that he really loves his job as an assistant district lawyer on the Cape and also emphasized that at this point in his career, he wants to focus on his job as the prosecutor. Although the Stanford University graduate acknowledged that serving in the Congress would indeed be a great opportunity for him, he added that he has a good job at hand and just felt that this was not the right time for him to run for the election. At the same time, Robert F. Kennedy’s grandson also implied that the decision to not seek election this year was entirely his own although his family had throughout been supportive. However, the 29 year old prosecutor divulged that he took the advice of his family members but stressed that there was no special pressure on him to carry on the political legacy of the Kennedy family.

Meanwhile, a Democrat had revealed last Saturday that Joseph F. Kennedy might consider running for the election this year if Representative William Delahunt decides to retire from Congress after his term ends this time. However, Joseph F. Kennedy has revealed that he is not going to seek election even if William Delahunt decides against running for re-election this year.
