Reshuffle in Delhi Police

New Delhi, Oct 18 (IANS) Delhi Lieutenant Governor Tejendra Khanna Monday approved the transfer of around 30 senior Delhi Police officers, an official statement here said.

While Special Commissioner (Security) Ranjit Narayan has been posted as special commissioner (crime), Special Commissioner (Vigilance) Shanti Kumar Jain has been posted as special commissioner (vigilance and security).

Khanna approved the order-transfer of some IPS officers who were posted with Delhi Police/Government of NCT of Delhi till the Commonwealth Games, which concluded Oct 14.

They ‘stand relieved’ for joining their respective union territory.

Some of these officers include A. Anto Alphonse, who has been relieved to Puducherry, Chinmoy Biswal to Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Deshraj Singh to Chandigarh, and Atul Kumar Thakur to Daman and Diu.
