Feb 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Democrat Representative John Murtha, from Pennsylvania has been hospitalized after some health complications following a gall bladder surgery that was performed on him the last week. He had undergone laparoscopic surgery in order to remove his gall bladder. The operation took place in a hospital in suburban Virginia, where he was admitted sometime in late December last year after he complained of abdominal pain. He has been admitted to the Virginia Hospital Center that is located in Arlington on Virginia. He is currently in the Intensive Care Unit.

The details of the complications that arose from the gall bladder surgery of Representative John Murtha were not disclosed by the members of the party. According to an e-mail sent by his spokesperson, Matthew Mazonkey, the Congressman had suffered from some complications. However, Matthew Mazonkey did not elucidate on the nature of the complications in his e-mail. However, it is being speculated that the complications might have arisen from some minor injury caused during the operation, something that is pretty common in such surgeries. It is possible that some lacerations had occurred in the bile duct during the surgery, leading to some consequences.

The 77 year old Representative John Murtha had been admitted to the hospital for pain in his abdomen in December, but returned to work within a few days. However, soon enough, it was found out that the pain had been due to gall bladder complications, and the surgery for the removal of his gall bladder took place only last week. However, this Tuesday itself, less than a week after having undergone the surgery, he was taken back to be rechecked.
