Repolling in Madhya Pradesh passes off peacefully

Bhopal, May 2 (IANS) Repolling at seven polling stations in three Lok Sabha constituencies of Madhya Pradesh Saturday passed off peacefully, officials said.
An average turnout of 56.57 percent was recorded at these centres, the officials said.

While the maximum of 63.69 percent votes were cast in Sagar constituency, the minimum of 42.52 percent were cast in Morena constituency.

The Election Commission had ordered repolling in four polling stations in Morena constituency, two in Sagar and one in Rajgarh following complaints of violence and damage to electronic voting machines (EVMs).

The three seats had gone to the polls April 30 in the second and last phase of parliamentary elections in the state.
