Rep. Joe Wilson might have thought that he would draw a fair amount of support from the republicans, after he allegedly shouted at the US President Barack Obama calling him “a liar” during the president’s speech on health care last week prior to the joint session of the Congress.
But it was never going to happen in his way as he reportedly apologized for his disgruntled behavior at the House. The inside sources reveal that Joe Wilson has reportedly been admonished on Wednesday in the House Of Representatives as a consequence, for his derogatory remarks against the president.
The rebuke against the Congressman was approved by a vote of 240-179. According to the sources, the GOP claimed that the vote was a cheap political strategy that can be termed as a “partisan stint”.
The Democrats still felt that the obnoxious behavior portrayed by the republican, who reportedly refused to say “sorry” at the House for his alleged actions. “A simple apology to this house would have ended the matter,” said Majority Leader Steny Hoyer. The republican had reportedly unleashed his fury over Barack Obama during last Wednesday, when the US president announced that the health care reform won’t be allowing any illegal immigrants. “The President said that the time for games is over. He gracefully accepted my apology and the issue is over,” said Rep. Joe Wilson on Tuesday after landing himself in an untoward situation.
According to the sources, the Democrats demanded Wilson to apologize in a formal notion to the whole chamber.
