December 21st, 2009 - 12:24 am ICT by Aishwarya Bhatt ( 6 comments )Boston, Dec 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Repeat DUI Senator Anthony Galluccio pleaded guilty in the hit-&-run case. He had left the scene of crash in Cambridge on 4th October. So he was asked to hand over his license and was then sentenced to home confinement on Friday.
Senator Anthony Galluccio pleaded guilty on Friday to two charges of leaving the scene of an accident in connection with an 4th October crash in Cambridge. He was also sentenced to 6 months home confinement. But he can get out of the house to attend formal sessions of the Senate or to go to church. “I want the court and the Commonwealth to understand how disappointed I am in myself,” Galluccio said. “I have made a firm decision about alcohol and I made firm decision to address it in every conceivable way,” Galluccio said on Friday.
Repeat DUI Senator Anthony Galluccio was also ordered to surrender his driver’s license for five years and submit to random alcohol testing. A sentence of two 1-year terms to be served concurrently in the House of Correction was suspended.
Senator Anthony Galluccio admitted that he rear-ended a vehicle at a Cambridge traffic light on 4th October. The police report said his “SUV fled the area after the crash,” “the victims wrote down the registration number of the fleeing motor vehicle” and “the driver reported back and neck injuries and was taken to Mount Auburn Hospital.”

why did I have to google the good senator to find he’s a (D). Were he an (R) that would’ve been prominent in the article

I’m sorry but, no matter WHO you are the Law applies to EVERYONE! House arrest and no jailtime? there isn’t anyone else I know who’d get off that easily. I’m willing to bet money that this will happen again with him. Any Takers? I can’t believer we have people working in our Whitehouse like this? the worst part is he basically got away with it. Now the tax payers have to pay to take him everywhere! I say, GIVE HIM A BYCYCLE!!!!!!

Yeah I have a brother rich, popular, narsasistic, drunk. Its a shame that they just keep up the same old thing until someone gets hurt, then they always have enough money to beat the rap or plea bargain so they can carry on the binge. Or here’s one better for you, he will plea bargain, then become an advocte against drunk driving….people suck, bigtime.

Another Mass senator drunken driver, another injury death.
Surprised? No.
If Joe Sixpack, the average non-elite guy, had been the driver, he’d be doing hard time.
And they wonder why people are fed up.
