Rep. Kucinich (D) Sues House Cafe 150K Over Olive Pit

Ohio Democratic Rep Dennis Kucinich is suing a United States House of Representatives cafe. A lawsuit which was filed on January 3rd in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia shows that Kucinich filed the suit seeking one hundred and fifty thousand dollars for “dental damage” which he claims was caused by an olive pit found in a sandwich that he ordered from the cafe.
According to the suit, Kucinich says, The wrap was “unwholesome and unfit for human consumption, in that it was represented to contain pitted olives, yet unknown to plaintiff contained an unpitted olive.”
The sandwich was purchased at the Longworth House Office Building back in April of 2008. The complaint, says that he “sustained serious and permanent dental and oral injuries requiring multiple surgery and oral procedures” and states the the Democratic Representative sustained other damages, “including significant pain, suffering and loss of enjoyment.”
It was not clear why he waited almost three years to file the suit.
