New Delhi, Dec 1 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani Tuesday asked his party MPs to read the Liberhan Commission report and take the party’s viewpoint to people in their constituencies.
Addressing the BJP’s parliamentary party meeting here, Advani said that only a few party leaders will get the chance to speak in the debate in Parliament on the Liberhan report but all MPs can speak about it in their constituencies.
Briefing about the deliberations of the parliamentary party meeting, BJP leader Sushma Swaraj said the Liberhan report was full of errors and the party had a lot to say on it. “It is full of fundamental mistakes,” she said.
She said the party was keen to discuss the India-China relationship in the light of recent events including Chinese objections to construction of a road in Ladakh and its remarks on Arunachal Pradesh. The BJP leader said the party will raise the issue in the business advisory committee meeting of the two houses and press for an early date for the discussion.
She said the party MPs also wanted to raise the recent remarks of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in which he said that Kashmir was not just an internal issue, noting India had always opposed internationalisation of the Kashmir issue.
