Ramdev’s fast has lost meaning: Congress
June 11th, 2011 - 5:34 pm ICT by IANSLucknow, June 11 (IANS) Congress leader P.L. Punia Saturday said that yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s fast against corruption has now lost its significance.
Chairman of the Scheduled Castes Commission, Punia said, “What Ramdev is now doing has no significance. His fast has no meaning now as his demands have been accepted by the central government. Now he should call off his fast.”
Ramdev has been on a fast in Haridwar against corruption and black money after he was forced to move out from New Delhi due to Delhi police’s crackdown on the yoga guru and his supporters at the Ramlila Ground.
On Ramdev’s deteriorating health, Punia told reporters here, “Everyone wants Ramdev should become healthy.”
