Rajya Sabha mourns Kolkata hospital victims
December 12th, 2011 - 3:21 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 12 (IANS) The Rajya Sabha Monday mourned the 93 people who died in a fire at Kolkata’s AMRI Hospital three days ago.
“The loss of so many precious, innocent lives is indeed tragic and unfortunate,” said Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari.
The house observed silence to pay respect to those killed and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
So far, 93 lives have been lost to the fire at the AMRI Hospital in the early hours of Dec 9.
