Rajya Sabha adjourned till 12 noon
August 25th, 2011 - 1:10 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Aug 25 (IANS) The Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 12 noon Thursday morning as Left parties disrupted the house over the issue of farmers in West Bengal.
Left party members alleged that there were atrocities in farmers in West Bengal, now ruled by the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress.
Chairman Hamid Ansari asked the members to let the question hour proceed, but the agitating MPs refused to be pacified.
An irked Ansari said the members should decide if the question hour should be dismissed, and then adjourned the house till 12 noon.
