Rajnath Singh wants POTASeptember 16th, 2008 - 6:41 pm ICT by IANS
New Delhi, Sep 16 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajnath Singh Tuesday reiterated the need for India to have a special law to battle terrorists.Speaking to reporters after visiting some of the victims of Saturday’s serial blasts here, he said terror attacks had become frequent because the government had scrapped the Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA).
“There is no country that does not have a strict anti-terror law. Take the example of Britain, it last amended its anti-terror law in 2005 to suit the times and to make it as strict as possible,” he said.
Five bombs exploded in three crowded areas of the Indian capital Saturday killing 24 people and injuring nearly 100.
