New Delhi, March 21 (IANS) A two-member Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) delegation led by former party president Rajnath Singh Sunday attended the funeral of former Nepal prime minister Girija Prasad Koiral.
Rajnath Singh and BJP leader Vijay Jolly represented the party at the funeral of the 85-year-old who died of multiple organ failures Saturday after protracted illness.
The BJP said Koiral’s death was a “great tragedy”. “It is like the passing away of another Gandhian era in the history of India and Nepal,” BJP president Nitin Gadkari said in a statement.
