Rajnath Singh asks media to be ‘responsible’

Ranchi, Nov 21 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajnath Singh Saturday held that he had never asked the pilot of his private plane to take off from an airfield recently with the aid of vehicle lights and nothing else. He was chiding the media for reports on the incident.
“Media should be responsible while reporting,” said the BJP president when asked why he had told his pilot to take off from Dumka airfield using light from jeeps parked around, following a campaign rally at Godda in Jharkhand.
“I never put any kind of pressure on anyone. It was the pilot’s decision to take off. How could a common person understand the technical aspects?” asked the BJP president.
“You should be more responsible while reporting,” he told the journalists.
Rajnath was in Jharkhand for two days to campaign for the five-phase assembly polls starting Nov 25.
