Raj Thackeray gets bail

Mumbai, Feb 5 (IANS) Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray was Saturday granted bail by a local court over a police complaint for violating prohibitory orders during the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation polls in October last year.The Kalyan judicial magistrate released Thackeray on bail after he filed a bond of Rs.5,000.
Police filed a first information report against him as he stayed on in Dombivli despite a notice issued by the deputy commissioner of police of the region. The notice prohibited his stay in the area after the election campaigning.
Police filed a charge sheet against Thackeray in December last year.
