Chandigarh, Aug 27 (IANS) Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi Friday interacted with students at various educational institutes in Hisar, Kurukshetra and Karnal districts of Haryana and urged them to join politics.
Elaborate security arrangements were made at Kurukshetra University in Kurukshetra, and at National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) in Karnal, to ensure smooth conduct of interaction between Gandhi and the students.
However, media persons were not allowed to interact with the Congress leader and their entry was also restricted at the interaction venues.
Gandhi urged the youngsters to join politics.
“I urge today’s youth to join Indian politics. If they want to bring a change in the society or to clean the system, then they have to take the initiative. We have to make full use of youth power in the overall development of the country,” he said , while interacting with students in NDRI.
“Development in science and technology will play a crucial role in the growth of the country,” he added.
There were many disappointed students, who were not allowed to enter the interaction venue, in the wake of huge rush.
