Lucknow, April 17 (IANS) Congress general secretary and sitting MP from Amethi Rahul Gandhi will visit his constituency in Uttar Pradesh Saturday for election campaign, a party official said Friday.
“He will begin his campaign by addressing the first meeting at Tilohi block around 11 a.m. and will be attending four other meetings till 3 p.m.,” Congress spokesperson Akhilesh Pratap Singh told IANS by phone.

Amethi goes to polls on April 23.

Priyanka Gandhi had been campaigning for her brother and mother Sonia Gandhi in Amethi and Rae Bareli constituencies as both the Congress leaders criss-crossed the country addressing election rallies.

“Since Rahul is busy campaigning for the party in other parts of the country, I am here to seek another term for him,” Priyanka said Wednesday. She attended over 50 public meetings during her week-long stay. She left for New Delhi Friday evening.
