New Delhi, Sep 5 (IANS) Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi returned to Delhi Monday after visiting his mother Sonia Gandhi, who is abroad recuperating after a surgery, party sources said.
A senior Congress leader told IANS that Rahul Gandhi will be attending the Lok Sabha in the coming days, especially when the land acquisition bill is introduced.
The Gandhi scion, who made a speech about the fast by Anna Hazare and the Lokpal bill during zero hour in the Lok Sabha Aug 26, did not participate in the special discussion on the bill the next day.
There has not been any update on the return of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, who underwent a surgery Aug 4 abroad — believed to be in the US — for an undisclosed disease.
Earlier, Congress chief spokesperson Janardhan Dwivedi had said that Sonia Gandhi is likely to return home by the first week of September.
