rahmChicago, Jan 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The latest report to hit the political circles is that Rahm Emanuel is considering running for the post of mayor in the upcoming elections. In fact, the report had come from one of the leading dailies in Washington, one that can be called the voice of the political establishment in the city. The report says that Rahm Emanuel is likely to run for the post of the mayor for Chicago. More than everything, the report also predicts the length of the term that Rahm Emanuel is likely to serve as the Chief of Staff at the White House, one and a half years, more or less.

Apparently, the present Chief of Staff of the White House has commented that he will be staying in his present post for about 18 months. In fact, the report goes so far as to state the points in favor of the writer’s assumption that Rahm Emanuel will be running for the post of the mayor of Chicago. The White House, on the other hand, has commented that there have been no such reports in this strain.

Apparently, the writer of the report in the daily has drawn the conclusion from the fact that despite all the contention on the matter of Desiree Rogers, who most people believe should be resigning after the White House party crasher fiasco, Rahm Emanuel has not yet applied any pressure on the matter. Apparently, he has not yet asked Desiree Rogers to resign, and the move, or rather the lack of it, has prompted the idea that it might be because of his political ambitions of becoming the mayor of Chicago.
