Moscow, Oct 30 (IANS) Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s youngest daughter is not marrying a South Korean diplomat’s son, his spokesman has said in response to a recent newspaper report.

“A South Korean newspaper’s report about the supposed marriage of Vladimir Putin’s daughter is false,” Xinhua quoted Dmitry Peskov as saying.

South Korea’s Joong Ang Ilbo reported Friday, citing an anonymous source, that 23-year-old Yekaterina Putina is going to marry the son of a retired South Korean admiral who worked as a military attache at the South Korean embassy in Moscow in the late 1990s.

The newspaper claimed the pair met in July 1997 at a dance party at an international school in Russia and have been in touch since.

It said Putina wanted to live and work in South Korea after her wedding.
